I have officially purchased my first real Tarot Card Deck! I’m so excited! The Tarot Deck that I chose is the Smith-Waite Centennial Tarot Deck. After many other considerations, I ended up choosing this one for a few reasons.
- The price.
- The connection I felt to it.
- The traditional aspect of it.
- The size of the cards.
First off, the price was incredible! It was only $10.20 with free shipping (on any purchase over $25 and I was purchasing other items so I spent enough to qualify.) That is what initially attracted me to it because I wanted something under the $30 range and that was definitely within budget. Second, there was an immediate connection that I felt to the cards. I think that it was the traditional images on the cards that made me feel connected to it. There’s just something about vintage things that I love. I wouldn’t even mind getting a used deck one day because of the oldness of it. I was originally looking at another deck that was $13.81, (You can find that one here.) but this one sold me with the size. The cards are slightly larger than the size of playing cards, so they’ll fit in my hands perfectly!
I cannot wait for them to arrive! We even got 2 day shipping so it’ll be here super soon. I will be sure to take pictures of it to show you guys. I’m thinking of using the tin that the cards come in to plant a few herbs in. I think that would be a really neat thing to do! I plan on keeping the cards in a cute little bag instead of the tin anyway. (I was actually looking at this one. It’s a little bit pricier than some of the plain ones, but I like it much more than the velvet ones.)
On a side note, I received my Lemon Mint seeds and planted them in a small herbal tea tin. It’s going to look so cute once they begin growing! Of course I’ll have to transfer it to a large pot once they start to grow because I put a lot of seeds in there… I probably overdid it a little. Hehe, oops.
What do you think about the Tarot Deck and the bag I was looking at? Let me know in the comments!
